Gargoyle - 3ds Max

Two gargoyles are needed to be place on the buildings main platform. Purposefully placed overlooking the main stair entrance. We decided to use a lion statue instead of a traditional looking gargoyle, as we thought the lion would be more in theme with the british context of the building. Isaac newton was english, the building is situated in Regents Park London and a lion is well known to be a traditional emblem of England. Featured of their Royal coat of arms and a popular mascot of the country.
A lion statue would also accentuate the overall look of the building, a classical style building that exudes a place of stature and prominence.
To export the model into max, many face and polygon errors occured when exporting. In solving this I cut the model in half, length ways in max to minimise the faces being exported. I continued to export the two halves separately and re-assembled them in Crysis.

This model was obtained from http://www.evermotion.com/ - Archmodels (2006) Vol. 34 Model 36
